We adopted Berkie out many years ago to a loving family. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond their control, they are no longer able to take care of Berkie and he was returned to us.When Berkie went to the vet, it was determined that he is heartworm positive. It is very expensive to treat heartworm and Berkie is the second dog we have had to treat for this disease this year.
